Here are two upcoming events that provide Del Reyans a chance to help make the Holidays a little brighter for our less fortunate neighbors.
As they do every year, the LAPD Pacific Division is hosting:
Winter Wonderland Holiday Toy Giveaway Saturday, December 10, 2016 12312 Culver Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90066 (LAPD Pacific Station back parking lot)
The LAPD is accepting toy donations, which may be dropped off at Pacific Station as late as Friday night. For further information, contact Officer Darrell Matthews at 310-482-6397.
As he does every year, Councilmember Mike Bonin is hosting The Winter Shelter Donation Drive from now until Friday, December16.
The shelter, which offers 160 beds for homeless people in the Westside community, is currently accepting clothing, toiletries, personal and miscellaneous items. Suggested clothing donations include T-shirts, pants, coats, gloves, and shoes. Suggested toiletries include razors, deodorant, hairbrushes, toothpaste, shower shoes, bath towels and hand sanitizers. Miscellaneous items such as backpacks, reading glasses, coffee, sugar, creamer, board games, books and first aid kits are also welcomed.
Donations may be dropped off at any of the following Council District 11 offices until December, 16:
