At the June 11 culmination, the Del Rey Residents Association honored the top eighth grade students at Marina del Rey Middle School. From left to right: Samantha Arenas from the Community School; Principal Sidra Dudley; Katherine Campos from the Performing Arts Magnet. The colorful woven scarves were given to each student who achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or better during middle school. Lillian Jenkins, former DRRA president, started the annual awards tradition in 2002.
